Dr. Ronald Turco is Certified in Advanced Wilderness Life Support. A member of the American Academy of Wilderness Medicine, he regularly attends Emergency Response and Wilderness Life Support training sessions, such as that shown above in the Rocky Mountains.

An active participant in The Wilderness Medical Society, Dr. Turco is currently studying First Responder Life Support. In addition, he teaches courses on First Aid for Climb Leaders in a twice-yearly program for the Mazamas mountaineering organization.

Dr. Turco has found that his expertise in wilderness medicine dovetails with the work he does with patients who have sustained physical injuries and deepens his understanding of appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
